We consider our horseboxes as our showpieces. This is why we hold wide-ranging user-friendliness and regular maintenance in high regard. Being a diesel mechanic, Roger Gelissen is originally the company’s technical man. The experience gained by him and our drivers is at the basis of the adaptations to our fleet that we requested when they were built.
Monitoring the horses
All our horseboxes are equipped with cameras and water supply, temperature-controlled and well ventilated. The sides of all horseboxes and trailers, for combined transportation, have hydraulic hatches near the horses’ heads that move upward, revealing the hatches that move downward parallel to the horsebox. These hatches are designed to carry the drivers and behind them you can find things such as hay, water and shavings. It allows them to monitor the horses from the outside and supply them with hay and water without having to enter the horsebox, which might agitate the horses.
