Gelissen Horse Transport is located near several motorways and close to the German and Belgian border. Owing to our favourable location in an internationally renowned equestrian region we are easily accessible and able to transport your horse quickly and efficiently, from yard to yard, from and to horse shows, airports or veterinary clinics.

How does it work?

We distinguish between shared loads and direct transportation. After you have signed up your horse for a shared load, we transport the horse to its destination together with other horses. In case of a direct transportation you decide when we transport the horse or horses. Our Echt accommodation also offers stabling facilities, allowing for complete care and exercise in case of a longer stay with us. We provide quarantine service and arrange for the transportation to and from the airport. Managing the logistic puzzle, speedy response and flexibility are our middle name!

How does it work?

Shared loads

We always provide shared loads within a reasonable period of time. We offer weekly trips to Italy, England and the north of Germany and cover Spain every fortnight. Naturally, other destinations such as Normandy and the east of Germany are also possible, but may take a while longer.

In case of a shared load, we collect the horses in a round-trip through the Netherlands, Belgium and possibly Germany, after which the horses are taken care of at our facility. If necessary, they are tested for the EU Health Certificate, after which they are transported to their destination. Please share any relevant details on your horse with us and so we can provide the best possible service in every way.

Direct transportation is often requested in case of going to a competition or clinic, when the owner wishes the horse to be transported by itself or if there is no time to wait for shared transport. Larger groups of horses moving from one yard to another, for example, are preferably transported together. We tune in on the horse’s and its owner’s individual needs and also offer owners, riders and grooms the opportunity to stay at our facility.
